The Dismounting Yard

Habibi, have you see what a simple courtyard this is? You used to be able to go right inside this courtyard riding the equivalent of a Ferrari of the time. Don’t forget that the Sultans of Granada owned the best Hispano-Arab thoroughbred horses, a breed that is still one of the best in the world today.

That is where this courtyard gets its name. The Dismounting Yard. I suppose the brick walls are simple because of the prosaic purpose of the place.

Look above the doorway! Can you see the hand symbol? Just like the Wine Gateway we saw before, and on all the other important doorways. Keep your eyes peeled - there are so many symbols.

This is as far as I can take you, habibi. You are going to enter a place where Hamed has never ever been, because only the Sultan, his family and his close friends were allowed in this area. I will wait for you on the other side of the grounds!
